Beginning in Fiscal Year 2008-09, District staff introduced the OHD REAL ESTATE
BUSINESS LINE in an effort to diversify the Districts business base. The
OHD Real Estate Business Line is responsible for acquisition, development and
rental of industrial/commercial real estate necessary for the development and
operation of the Port of Hueneme or for the accommodation and promotion of commerce,
navigation or fisheries inside the boundaries of the Oxnard Harbor District.
Non Terminal property rentals are managed by the Deputy Executive Director
of Finance & Administration. In this capacity, the Deputy Executive Director
is responsible for:
1) The Ventura County Railway L.L.C.
2) A ten (10) acre industrial site located at 5851 Arcturas Blvd in Oxnard.
3) A five acre industrial site located at 5901 Edison Drive
4) Office Building (5,066 sq. ft.) located at 105 E. Port Hueneme Road, Port
Hueneme CA.
District Staff continues to investigate opportunities to increase utilization
and revenue generation within the Cities of Oxnard and Port Hueneme for Agricultural/Industrial
segments while continuing to support Maritime Services with industrial land
in support of freight movement opportunities.
