Arlene Fraser
Vice President

Arlene Fraser was elected to the Port of Hueneme Board of Commissioners in 2012. She is currently employed by Wallenius Willhelmsen Logistics as a Maritime Administrative Assistant. A resident of Ventura County since 1979, she has served on many non-profit and community organizations.

Her service in non-profits include: Navy League Channel Islands Council, current Board of Director; newsletter publisher/editor Naval Sea Cadet Corps; Council Liaison for Units at Port of Hueneme and Point Mugu; Friends of the Port Hueneme Library; Treasurer and board member, County of Ventura; Library Adult Literacy READ Program and adult reading tutor; Channel Islands Maritime Museum, Board of Trustee and elected vice-president in 2014.

Her wide range of service to the community includes: Navy League of the United States, National Director and Pacific Southwest Region’s Area President Mid-coast/Inland Valley; Ventura County Women’s Council, NLUS, president; Ventura County Grand Jury, foreman pro tem; Oxnard Elementary School District Educational Foundation, president; California Strawberry Festival, Executive Board; Hueneme Beautiful, president; Port Hueneme Chamber of Commerce, president/C.E.O; Women’s Division of the Oxnard Chamber of Commerce, president.

Ms. Fraser was awarded Oxnard’s Women of the Year and Seabee Honoree at Naval Base Ventura County for dedicated service to the community. She earned a B.A. from San Jose State University (Speech Pathology and Audiology) and an A.A. from San Jose City College (Business/Accounting).
