Sponsorship Overview
Port of Hueneme Sponsorship Process: Each year the Port of Hueneme engages in a robust and intentional outreach program that incorporates community partnerships through the creation of community benefits including sponsorship opportunities.
The primary Fiscal Year application period was open from March 14 – April 22, 2022. Ongoing sponsorship requests may be considered for events/organizations during the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 (July 1 – June 30, 2023).
How to Apply for Sponsorship
- Applications must be completed in its entirety and submitted a minimum of 45 days prior to the event date or the deadline to be included on event marketing materials, whichever is first.
- Please be sure to follow the instructions carefully as the application is a multi-step process requiring 1) completed application and 2) submission of additional event/organization information (flyers, sponsorship level packages, etc.)

PLEASE NOTE: Applications will be the primary material used to present information to the Port Committee and Board of Harbor Commissioners for consideration. Please be thorough, specific and concise when responding to each of the questions.

The annual Banana Festival was first held in 2012 and attracted over 11,000 participants. This family oriented and highly anticipated event provides a chance for the community to experience The Port with tours, arts and crafts, educational displays, and maritime related experiences, all while enjoying one of the Port’s largest imports — bananas!
The Port offers an award-winning 12-week Global Trade & Logistics class for Oxnard Union High School District students and partners with local universities to develop maritime education programs. Read More
