Mary Anne Rooney
Mary Anne Rooney was elected to the Board of Harbor Commissioners for the Port of Hueneme in 2010, the first woman in the 77-year history of the Port. Her service and leadership roles in the maritime industry include: President of the Association of Pacific Ports (APP); Economic Development Committee Member for the American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA); Executive Director of the World Affairs Council, California Central Coast Chapter; Delegate on a Leadership Mission to Taiwan in 2013, Secretary of the Ventura County Special District Association, and member of the Oxnard/Ocotlán Sister City Committee.
In addition to her other roles, Ms. Rooney is an independent strategic business consultant, working with the Ventura County Civic Alliance, the Oxnard Union High School District Linked Learning program, and private clients.
Ms. Rooney earned a B.A. from UC Santa Barbara and M.A. from Azusa Pacific University. She holds a Certificate in Mediation and Negotiation and is a Certified Global Business Professional. She is married, has two grown sons, and is a strong community participant in Oxnard, California.
