PORT HUENEME, CA – March 21, 2026 – The City of Port Hueneme and the Port of Hueneme successfully hosted their third annual Sea Splash Color Dash 5K this weekend, drawing a vibrant crowd of community members for a day centered on wellness, connection, and coastal fun.

More than 800 participants gathered at Hueneme Beach before setting off along the coast scenic beachfront course, running, walking, and celebrating as they were doused in colorful powder along the route. The high-energy event brought together families, local organizations, and visitors of all ages.

This year’s Sea Splash offered the Kids’ 1K, a free Health & Wellness Fair, and a dynamic lineup of vendors, activities, and live entertainment. From fitness resources to family-friendly programming, the event created an inclusive space focused on promoting healthy lifestyles and community well-being.

The Port of Hueneme, a leading gateway for fresh produce like blueberries and bananas, plays an important role in delivering nourishing food to communities across the country. That commitment to health and wellness was reflected at Sea Splash, where fresh fruit and wellness resources helped fuel participants and promote active, healthy lifestyles.

Participants received commemorative medals and event T-shirts, with awards presented to top finishers across multiple age groups. Following the race, attendees explored interactive booths, community resources, and activities throughout the Health & Wellness Fair, creating a festival-like atmosphere along the waterfront.

Following last year’s turnout of more than 750 participants, this year’s event continued its upward trajectory, further establishing Sea Splash as a cornerstone community event for the Port Hueneme area.
